ACCREDITED GUIDED MEDITATION INSTRUCTOR & BEAUTY THERAPIST
My mission is to create a collective shift in consciousness for as many humans as I can possibly help toward greater health, wholeness and balance in life.
My journey with meditation began from my own personal experience and battle with mental health, predominately suffering from horrid anxiety and panic attacks.
Breathlessness, intense pressure in my chest, upset stomach, agoraphobia and a distorted sense of reality was my life for a period of time. I was scratching my head in desperation, trying to make sense of everything. My fear went beyond warning of a real threat to perceived threats that weren’t necessarily going to come to fruition. The fear became such a debilitating force of self-sabotage and destruction. As an individual, I felt weak; my self-confidence and self-worth were non-existent, and I was merely surviving.
The positive that came of this downward spiral medication alone would not change my thought process or the suppressed and unresolved fears I had accumulated over the years. At that point, there was no other option but to crawl my way out and start working on my mental health as a priority. No one else was going to steer this wheel for me if I really wanted to live the life I’ve dreamed of… that is…..living a life of ‘presence” and everything that comes with it, peace, connectedness, awareness & gratefulness…..simple everyday things that we take for granted.
Through educating myself on all things mindfulness, predominantly meditation practice, I have expanded my awareness, intuitiveness and a better sense of the root to triggering situations. The more I practised meditation, the more I changed my thought pattern and storylines by learning to “see” them, “sit” with them and let them go. In doing so, I learnt that thoughts do not define me and are not real. Within this newfound perspective, I gradually changed my relationship with anxiety, differentiating between irrational and truth.
Meditating regularly really helped me develop greater awareness of the present moment, cultivating a sense of calm and inner peace, even amid stressful and challenging times.
