Mindfulness and holistic therapies for NDIS participants

Soul Truths prides itself on providing a safe and welcoming space for our valued NDIS participants, one that is welcoming, nurturing and inclusive.

Tailored to meet your specific requirements, Soul Truths provides a whole range of services across mental health and well-being. What makes Soul Truths UNIQUE is the many variations we provide alongside our meditation and mindfulness programs to enhance your relaxation and mindfulness further.

Your physical symptoms are sometimes caused or made worse by the state of your mental health. Incorporating a ‘stress-releasing’ physical component to our programs, such as relaxation massage and acupressure, is very important to us.

Pairing meditation, a practice that focuses on developing a sound mind, with the sound body benefits of massage, can leave an individual feeling not only physically but also mentally relaxed and refreshed.

Join our 6-Week Mindfulness and Holistic Therapy Program

My Choice. My Freedom. My Peace.

This 6-week program is designed to help you explore the depths of mindfulness and meditation. Our programs are uniquely tailored to each individual’s specific needs, comprising of:

  • Each 90-minute session features a combination of meditation, head, neck & shoulder massage, and Somatic Release Yoga.

The integration of massage with meditation can improve circulation, lower blood pressure, and reduce inflammation, which is especially helpful for those with high blood pressure or cardiac issues.

  • Each 60-minute group session includes meditation, Somatic Release Yoga, and concludes with herbal tea and sweets.

Group meditation fosters a sense of community and connection, allowing participants to benefit from collective energy and gain insights into their personal growth.

As a registered NDIS provider, we can provide Capacity Building Support to individuals with a permanent disability.

Soul Truths aims to work together with NDIS Participants towards accomplishing their dreams and aspirations identified in their plan and positively enhancing their well-being. The sessions aim to maximise the participant’s independence, whether they are looking to improve their ability to perform tasks at home, return to work, increase access to their community or improve the quality of their health and life.

Soul Truths wants to play a broader role in accessing mindfulness and alternative holistic supports moving forward. Seeing first-hand the positive progress participants have made motivates and inspires us to continue providing high-quality and innovative support to our valued participants.

Meditation is a powerful coping mechanism.

Mindfulness, a meditative practice focusing on attention and awareness training, has been shown to have positive effects on mental and physical wellbeing. Many people with disabilities struggle with pain, fatigue, stress, anxiety, and depression, along with other symptoms.

Meditation can provide people with disabilities with a sense of control and escapism that is helpful for the development of healthy and effective coping strategies. Through regular practice, clients can become more aware of their thoughts and emotions, and, as a result, they have the tools and resources to hit that pause button between their emotions and actions, a powerful skill to practice, even for adults.

The effectiveness of meditation varies from person to person, and no two participants are the same. However, some people with disabilities have found that engaging in meditative practises has helped them reduce physical symptoms, as well as improve mental wellness.

“The most rewarding changes I’ve witnessed have been whilst working with children and teens with Autism, Aspergers and ADHD. Working together and building on our mindfulness foundation has reaped a host of benefits, including but not limited to improved focus and self-control, coping strategies, better family relationships and communication. It's been amazing!

It is encouraging to hear from parents and carers that they have seen a significant reduction in meltdowns, impulsivity and, most excitingly, a huge improvement in their sleeping.

It confirms that we can put a stop to these negative behavioural thinking patterns, stress & anxiety cycles, with the aim that these techniques and sub-conscious habits will carry into their teens and adulthood as coping mechanism tools in times of life’s challenges.”
